Sr. Title Agent

Job Responsibilities:

  • Research and examine online public records related to surface and mineral title.
  • Compile full chains of title, identify gaps or defects, and create comprehensive title abstracts.
  • Interpret deeds, easements, leases, plats, probate records, court filings, and other relevant legal documents.
  • Identify and summarize ownership interests, encumbrances, and potential title issues.
  • Prepare detailed title reports and title acquisition packages based on search results.
  • Communicate findings clearly and professionally in written and verbal formats.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience completing complex surface and mineral title examinations. (mortgage or insurance title experience alone is not sufficient)
  • Prior experience in Due Diligence projects.
  • Skilled in interpreting legal documents and historical property conveyances.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage time across multiple projects.

Technical Skills:

  • Familiarity with courthouse research tools and online public record systems
  • Strong computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and deed plotting software

Experience:

  • Five or more (5+) years of Surface and Mineral Title Experience
